MIDSR Central Library system supports the teaching & learning program of the Institute. The Library has an excellent collection of text books, reference books, Daily news Papers, Journals, Bound volumes of journals, CD-ROMs regarding of curriculum based reading material. The Library has adequate infrastructure to meet student’s requirements. The Library was started in 2006 and is today recognized as one of the premier Dental Library. MIDSR Central Library follows open access system that allows users a direct access to the library collection.
The library has a conducive environment for reading, a well-ventilated and well-lit hall. The library has a reading hall, journal section, reference section, circulation section, stock section, photocopy section and office for the librarian.
SALIENT FEATURES
- MIDSR Central Library has subscribed DVL-Library consortium membership for the year 2023-24.
- Library is accessible to staff and students all days.
- Libraries provide 2 books for period of 7 days to the students and for period of 15 days to the staff.
- To stay advanced and provide students with the best of the latest services, the Library has gone Wi-Fi, enabling students to access the internet through the wireless router, anytime from Library.

In the age of information explosion, information is a dynamic and unending source that effects all disciplines and all walks of life. Information supports education, research and development. It improves the quality of life. Libraries are the sources for continuum education and are playing an important role in getting relevant information.
Central Library aims to offer effective services to its users to fulfill their learning needs in the field of Dental Science and Humanities through its user friendly facilities. Keeping in view of the needs of current and upcoming user, we are maintaining Dewey Decimal Classification.
The main objective of the central library is to emerge keeping good collection of learning resources and providing finest services to faculties and students of the institute. We, at MIDSR Central Library always strive to provide better services and facilities to support the Institute Teaching, Learning and Research activities.
Our ultimate goal is to create library services that are convenient and efficient for our students and staff.

Monday-Friday
Timing : from 09.00 a.m.to 6.00 p.m.
Saturday:-
Timing : From 09.00 a.m.to 2.00 p.m.
- T. Card (Library Card) is compulsory for getting access to the Library.
- Silence to be maintained.
- No discussion permitted inside the Library.
- No personal belongings allowed inside the Lirbary,
- Textbooks, printed materials and issued books are not allowed to be taken inside the Library.
- Using Mobile phones and Audio instruments with or without speaker or headphone is strictly prohibited in the Library premises.
- Enter your name & sign in the register kept at the entrance counter before entering library.
- Show the books and other materials which are being taken out of the Library to the staff at the entrance counter.
- The Librarian may recall any book from any member at any time and the member shall return the same immediately.
- Library borrower card are not transferable. The borrower is responsible for the books borrowed on his/her card.
- Refreshment of any kind shall not be taken anywhere in the Library premises.
