Programme Overview
The BDS programme at MIDSR Dental College is a 5-year undergraduate course comprising 4 years of academic study across four phases (I to IV BDS) followed by 1 year of compulsory rotatory internship. The curriculum is designed as per DCI norms and MUHS regulations, integrating theoretical knowledge with extensive hands-on clinical training from the second year onwards.
Students gain progressive clinical exposure starting with preclinical simulations on phantom heads in the preclinical lab, advancing to supervised patient care in the institutional hospital which records over 300 OPD patients daily across all specialties.
Eligibility & Admission
Academic: Passed 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English from a recognized board with minimum 50% marks in PCB (40% for SC/ST/OBC candidates).
Entrance: Qualified NEET UG examination conducted by NTA.
Admission: Through CET Cell Maharashtra CAP counselling based on NEET UG merit rank. Seats allocated as per government reservation policy.
Age: Minimum 17 years as of December 31 of the admission year.

Clinical Training Highlights
Compulsory Rotatory Internship
The 1-year internship follows completion of final BDS examinations. Students undergo rotational postings across all dental departments, gaining independent clinical experience. Internship includes community dental health programs and rural outreach camps.
