Examination System
MIDSR follows the examination pattern prescribed by Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS), Nashik
Internal Assessment (BDS / MDS)
Continuous evaluation conducted by the college as per MUHS guidelines through theory tests, practical/clinical exercises, assignments, viva-voce, and seminars throughout the academic year.
Preliminary / Sessional Exams
Term-end preparatory examinations conducted at the institute level before the MUHS University examinations. For MDS students, this includes assessment of dissertation progress and logbook evaluation.
MUHS Practical & Viva Examination
Clinical/practical examinations conducted by MUHS-appointed internal and external examiners. Includes chair-side clinical procedures, case presentations, identification of specimens, radiograph interpretation, and comprehensive viva voce.
MUHS University Theory Exam
End-semester / annual theory examinations conducted by Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS), Nashik as per the prescribed university schedule. BDS: 4 phases. MDS: 3 years with dissertation submission.
MUHS University Regulations
- 1Minimum 75% attendance in theory and clinical/practical separately is mandatory to appear for MUHS University examinations.
- 2Internal assessment marks (20% of total) are forwarded to MUHS University as per the prescribed schedule.
- 3BDS students must pass theory and clinical/practical examinations separately as per MUHS regulations for each of the 4 phases.
- 4MDS students must submit a dissertation under an approved guide and appear for theory, practical, and viva examinations at the end of the 3-year programme.
- 5Students must secure minimum 50% marks in internal assessment to be eligible for university examinations.
- 6Revaluation, retotaling, and supplementary examination facilities are available as per MUHS University ordinances.
- 7Grace marks are awarded as per MUHS University rules for passing in a subject, applicable to both BDS and MDS programmes.
- 8The examination fee structure and application process is governed by MUHS University guidelines.
- 9Clinical/practical examinations are conducted by a board of one internal and one external examiner appointed by MUHS.
- 10Any malpractice or unfair means is dealt with strictly as per MUHS University disciplinary rules.
